The Government will soon be constructing a bridge to replace the forty-year old Bailey Bridge in the Spring Village area.
The official ground breaking ceremony took place during the afternoon of Thursday 20th October, for the Cumberland Main Bridge Construction Project.
Mr. Hudson Nedd, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Works, said that the Disaster Response Project is being carried out with assistance from the Government of Mexico.
Mr. Nedd also said that the project will cost approximately five million dollars and is being managed by the United Nations Office for Project Services.
