Minister of Transport and Works, Montgomery Daniel said the Buildings, Roads and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) will commence work on the Dorsetshire Hill Road Rehabilitation Project in January 2025.

He made this statement while responding to a question in Parliament recently.

Minister Daniel said the Dorsetshire Hill Road is scheduled to be rehabilitated under the National Road Rehabilitation Project to a tune of more than two million dollars.

"Under the National Road Rehabilitation Project provisions have been made for the rehabilitation of 1.255km of asphalt road extended from the Windward Highway at Sion Hill to the Garden of Eden Senior Citizen Centre. This work Madame Speaker is being contracted to the Building Roads and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) in the sum of 2.256 Million Dollars."

Minister Daniel also outlined some of the work that will be carried out as part of the Dorsetshire Hill Road Rehabilitation project.

"The scope of the work, Madame Speaker, includes widening asphalt pavements, construct open drains, construct covered box drains and to construct block retaining walls."
