Shaping Infrastructure. Ensuring Safety. Planning for Growth.

From road networks to public buildings, electrical inspections to sea defences — we build and regulate to protect our future

Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Physical Planning and Parliamentary Representative for South Leeward, Hon. Nigel Stephenson said the Government has already secured a brand-new bus which will be used to transport pupils of the Questelles Government School, whose classes had to be relocated to the Campden Park Community Centre.

He made this statement during a thanksgiving ceremony which was held recently, following the fire.

"The important thing is I have made an appeal having been asked a question about how the community can assist the students going forward, and one of those things that I have said is that those who have vehicles can offer a ride. I was a teacher in my previous location and you know that everybody does not come to school at the same time, so therefore for those persons who are logging behind and you see someone you can take them. But that is not to say that my responsibility as a Minister of Transport has been regulated to the members of society and cooperate Saint Vincent. I need to tell you that we have already secured the service of a brand new bus that will transport our students to and from school."

Minister Stephenson said his Ministry will continue to work along with the Ministry of Education and other arms of the Government to ensure that teaching and learning at the Questelles Government School return to normalcy soon.
