Shaping Infrastructure. Ensuring Safety. Planning for Growth.

From road networks to public buildings, electrical inspections to sea defences — we build and regulate to protect our future

Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Physical Planning, Hon. Nigel Stephenson, has assured Vincentians that he will listen to the concerns of all citizens.

Speaking during his contribution to the Budget Estimates Debate on Thursday, 29th January, 2026, Minister Stephenson said the public can be confident that he will work to ensure their issues are addressed.

He added that he will also ensure the Buildings, Roads and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) responds more effectively to the needs of communities, with quicker responses to matters requiring its attention.

"One thing that I know I am good at is listening to the complaints of anyone. Doesn't matter what your stature is, what your status is, I would listen and I would do everything possible to make sure that these are corrected. So BRAGSA being a maintenance corporation, Madame Speaker, their responsibility is primarily to repair roads, not so much in construction, although they are given contracts from time to time. But I am going to make sure that BRAGSA lives up to the true intent of its creation, of its formation. As the Minister with responsibility for that entity Madame Speaker, the people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines can expect that there will be a faster response time to the problems that they are facing in their communities."
